Joe Gil Lawrence

Joe Gil Lawrence, 73, of Adairville, KY, passed away on Thursday June 10, 2021 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday June 13th at 3:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Brother John Jared officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY with Sean Suddiqui, Craig Walker, Chad Burkhart, Jack Campbell, and other friends and family serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Sunday at Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Mr. Lawrence was born March 15, 1948 in Shreveport, LA to the late Gilbert and Theresa Prince Lawrence. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the DAV - Pennyrile Honor Guard. Mr. Lawrence was retired from Firestone, having owned and operated his own sales store. He attended Oak Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Lawrence was a pilot and loved flying both airplanes and model airplanes, and he also loved restoring old cars.

Mr. Lawrence is survived by his wife: Debby Holman Lawrence of Adairville, KY, by his God sons: Sean Siddiqui and wife Krystal of Edwards AFB in California, Craig Walker and wife Melissa of Navarre, FL, by his stepson: Chad Burkhart and wife Laura of Franklin, KY, by his sister: Becky Kendall of Boise, ID, by his niece: Heather Scott and husband Bill, and by his nephews: Gary Kendall and David Kendall.
