Robert Joe Bagwell, 84, of Greenbrier, passed away on Thursday June 25, 2026, at his home. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday July 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Terry Martin officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. There will be no public visitation prior to the graveside service.
Mr. Joe was born May 26, 1942, in Cedar Hill, to the late Cecil Ray and Etha Oakley Anderson Bagwell. He was a graduate of Jo Byrns High School Class of 1960 and was retired from the shipping and receiving department at Fiberweb. Mr. Joe loved working crosswords puzzles, watching game shows and Judge Judy, he was an avid fan of NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhardt, and he loved his Tennessee Titans.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Faye Eden Bagwell, by his son: Robet Dwayne Bagwell, and by his siblings: Mickey Bagwell and Lewis Lee. Mr. Joe is survived by his daughter: Angie Martin and husband John of Greenbrier, by his grandson: Justin Martin, by his sister: Beverly Porter of Illinois, by his daughter-in-law: Karen Bagwell of Franklin, and by his step grandchildren: Brian (Sam) Tinch and Autumn (Bradley) Nicholas.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and may be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home
