Jimmy R.L. Oliver

Jimmy R.L. Oliver, age 87 of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Dakota Norris officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with A.J. Johnson, Bradley Johnson, Clint Taylor, Cole Taylor, Tyler Oliver, Dustin Leding, Ryan Drake, and Lee Rader serving as pallbearers, and honorary pallbearer Terry Oliver. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM and Wednesday from 10 AM until the hour of service.

Mr. Jimmy was born May 24, 1934 to the late Charlie and Susie Bennett Oliver. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. His work in life was being an electrician. He enjoyed Nascar, mowing and taking care of his lawn, football, and baseball. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Terry Oliver, 5 brothers, and 5 sisters.

Mr. Oliver is survived by his wife of over 68 years, Shirley Oliver of Greenbrier; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Joey Johnson of Springfield, Karen Knight of Cross Plains, and Connie and Jeff Taylor of White House; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Donya Oliver of Ridgetop; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren with 1 on the way.

The family ask that those attending the visitation and funeral service to please wear a mask.
