Jimmy Moorefield

James Howard “Jimmy” Moorefield, Jr., 72, of Springfield, passed from this life on Saturday January 14, 2023, at his home. There will be a time of visitation with the family on Tuesday January 17th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Jimmy was born December 21, 1950, in Springfield, to the late James Howard and Dorothy West Moorefield, Sr. He was a graduate of Springfield High School and a retired forklift operator with Unarco. Jimmy loved the Tennessee Vols and Tennessee Titans football. The highlight of his life was Christmas time and decorating his yard on highway 76 with many different lights. He enjoyed watching people drive by and look at the many lights of Christmas he put out. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Jack Moorefield.

Jimmy is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: John and Sheila Moorefield, Jerry and Debra Moorefield, and Joe Moorefield all of Springfield, by his sister and brother-in-law: Jennifer and Tony Scruggs of Springfield, by his nieces: Tiffany Scruggs, Stephanie Craig, and Crystal Lynn Blackwell, by his nephew: Junior Moorefield, and by his great nephews: Kliford Laney, John May, and Theodore Laney.
