Jimmy Mason Obituary

James Scott "Jimmy" Mason, 83, of Springfield, died Wednesday November 11, 2015 at North Crest Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday November 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY with Dr. Thomas Eden officiating. Pallbearers will be Lee Bothick, Sam Borthick, John Mason Barnes, David Russell, Michael Mason, and Leighton Ball. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Dean Funeral Chapel in Adairville, KY. There will be no visitation on Saturday prior to the graveside service.

Mr. Mason was born October 15, 1932 in Robertson County to the late Grover Cleveland "G.C." and Grace Armstrong Mason. He was a retired farmer, and he owned and operated Jim's Tools. Mr. Mason was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 59 years: Jeanette Traughber Mason of Springfield, son: Jeff Mason of Springfield, daughter and son-in-law: Judy and Mark King of Springfield, brother: Joe Mason of Springfield, sisters and brother-in-law: Sylvia Borthick and Mary Ruth Mason both of Springfield, Shirley and John Lee Barnes of Adairville, KY, and Sarah Ball of Hermitage, grandchildren: Logan Adam and Mason Scott King.
