Jimmy Lambert Obituary

James Arthur “Jimmy” Lambert, age 80 of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Friday, April 25, 2025 at his lake house in Lewisburg, KY. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery with Brayden Chunn, Treble Chunn, Dalton Burroughs, Larry Chunn, Steve Teague, Dale Cohea, and Brandon Lambert serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Juil Bennett, Jr. and Aiden Lambert. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of service.

Mr. Lambert was born June 7, 1944 in Antioch to the late Walmouth Lawrence and Annie Bell Walpole Lambert. He was the oldest living member of Ridgetop First Baptist Church and was retired from the Tennessee Department of Transportation. He was a member of the 1963 graduating class of Antioch High School and was a lifelong resident of Robertson County. He enjoyed spending time with his family, bluegrass music, and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Lambert.

Surviving him are his wife of 58 years, Rita Davenport Lambert of Greenbrier; son and daughter-in-law, William and Gabrielle Lambert of Cumberland Furnace; daughters and sons-n law, Angela and Juil, Jr. Bennett and Cherryl and Larry Chunn, both of Greenbrier; grandchildren, Brandon Lambert, Faith Armes, Aiden Lambert, Machalia Burroughs, Brayden Chunn, and Treble Chunn; great grandchildren, Raylynn Lambert, Autumn Lambert, and Callum Burroughs; and  brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond and Harriett Lambert of Nashville, Wayne and Sandy Lambert of Smyrna, and Josephine Lambert of Mt. Juliet.

The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to the Make A Wish Foundation. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
