Jimmy Brown, age 57 of Springfield, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Keith Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY with Troy Taylor, Brian Thaxton, Shane Lunsford, Josh Taylor, Will Brown, Eric Pulley, Caleb Starks, and Lee Richards serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Ratliff, Terry Johnson, and the members of the Robertson County Coon Hunters Association. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Brown was born December 10, 1962 in Robertson County. He was a farmer and a member of the Robertson County Coon Hunters Association. He enjoyed his work on the farm, coon hunting and horses. He was preceded in death by his father, Tom Brown; mother, Nancy Gibbs Moon; a brother, Ronnie Brown; and sisters, Joyce Brown and Ruby Cage.
Jimmy is survived by his son; James Brown and his wife, Erica of Springfield; daughter, Bethany Brown and her fiancé’, Shane Lunsford of Springfield; brother, Tommy Brown of Paducah, KY; sister, Kathy Ayers of Springfield; special friend, Christine Brown of Adairville, KY; and grandchildren, Mario Gardner, Myah Gardner, Deleana Wilson, Mar’Ryah Lunsford, and Luke Brown.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
