Mr. Pete professed Christ at an early age and was a longtime member of Mt. Herman Missionary Baptist Church in Adairville, KY, where he attended faithfully until his health began to fail. Mr. Pete loved the Lord, and he served Mt. Herman as a Deacon and Usher for many years. God blessed him with a long life, and what he loved most in his 92 years of life was people. He enjoyed being with people and talking with them. He worked for 30 years at Sykes Service Station in Adairville, and then went on to work and retire from the Logan County Road Department. After retirement, he continued to work many jobs throughout his life. He worked at Shoney’s in Springfield, Service Auto in Russellville, Dollar General in Adairville, and at the Adairville Post Office. Mr. Pete will be fondly remembered by many for his business that he owned and operated of selling Popcorn at many different functions throughout Logan County. He was friendly, always smiling, and popped a pretty good bag of popcorn. He enjoyed fishing, watching the LA Dodgers, and traveling. He had been to many different places throughout the United States and had traveled as far as Hawaii. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mattie B. Jenkins Wynn, by his son and daughter-in-law: John Thomas and Wanda Wynn, by his grandson: Robert Wynn, Jr., by his son-in-law: James O. McKisic, Jr., and by 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

Mr. Pete leaves to cherish his memory his sons and daughter-in-law: Robert and Lillian Wynn, Sr., of Russellville, KY, and William Ronald Wynn of Colton, CA, by his daughters and son-in-law: Betti and Andrew Murray of Antioch, and Liz McKisic of Adairville, KY, by his sister: Madeline Donelson of Nashville, by his grandchildren: Latoya Wynn, Patrick Wynn, Ariana Murray Counts and her husband John, Chris McKisic, Marcus Wynn, and Felicia McKisic, by his great grandchildren: Nicholas and Brihana Wynn, and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
