Jerry Lynn Hardison, age 61 of Woodlawn, TN, passed from this life on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Vanderbilt Health. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Reverend Tyler Tibbs and Reverend Vicki Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Tommy Porter, Darren Hallman, Eric Pulley, Josh Morris, Chris Miller, Jacob Fuqua, William Gass, and Eric Gass serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Freddie Edwards, Mike Byrum, David Bond, Jimmy Estes, and Anthony Morris. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 4 until 8 PM and Tuesday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Jerry was born August 12, 1960 in Springfield to the late Thad Ray and Dorothy Louise Bagby Hardison. He was of the Baptist faith and had been attending Woodlawn Church of the Nazarene. He was a truck driver and enjoyed his time farming. In his leisure time he loved horseback riding, driving country roads, watching wildlife, and grilling and barbecuing for his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Carlisle.
He is survived by his wife Lesa Hardison of Woodlawn; daughters and sons-in-law, Samantha and Justin Hall of Cedar Hill, Anna and Chris Leftrick of Springfield, Ashley and Josh Bogle of Stuart, VA, and Amanda and Greg Roath of Freeport, LA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Charles Redfern of Cedar Hill, Jean Clinard of Springfield, Sue Adams of Cedar Hill, Wanda and Ronnie Clinard of Springfield, Lucille and Jack Foy of Waynesboro, VA, and Tina Hardison of Springfield; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
