Jerry Landan Bruce, 83, of Greenbrier, passed away on Friday August 11, 2023, at his home. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday August 19th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Buddy Crabtree, Brother Jeff Crabtree, Brother Brent Crabtree, and Brother Taylor Kibler officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Jerry would love for all attending the visitation and memorial service to wear their favorite sports attire, especially Alabama Crimson Tide (Roll Tide).
Jerry was born July 4, 1940, in Waverly, to the late Jesse Evans and Dorothy Burch Bruce. He was the owner and operator of Bruce Plumbing, a member of the Coopertown Men’s Club, and a member of Mt. Sharon Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Jerry loved golf and sports, especially Alabama Crimson Tide football. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Marty Bruce, by his sister: Norma Fehrman, and by his mother: Louise Bruce.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 42 years: Donna Crabtree Bruce, by his daughter: Angela Pursley and husband Danny of Goodlettsville, by his sons: Stephen Bruce of Greenbrier, James Herbert Bruce and wife Julie of Cadiz, KY, by his sister: Sandra Pinson and husband James of Springfield, by his grandchildren: Trey (Fran) Pursley, Zach Pursley, and Ashleigh Bruce, and by his great grandchild: Manning Pursley.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Sharon Cumberland Presbyterian Church and may be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
