Jean Durham Jones, 88, of Greenbrier, passed away on Sunday February 7, 2021 at NorthCrest Health. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday February 11th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Jeremy Jones, Josh Clinard, Dallas Gilbert, Kyle Jones, Brandon Jones, Dustin Jones, Colton Jones, and Matthew Jones serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jones was born September 3, 1932 in Springfield to the late James Floyd and Lillie Grace Woodard Durham. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastland Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones loved reading, watching cooking shows and cooking for her family. Across the years she enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and many of her Hillcrest neighbor’s children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Richard B. “Cotton” Jones, and by her siblings: Billy Durham, Dottie Carroll, and Ann McIntosh. Mrs. Jones is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Ronnie and Vickie Jones of Chattanooga, Eddie and Vivian Jones of New Hampshire, by her daughters and sons-in-law: Diane and Ricky Clinard of Greenbrier, Patti and Larry Gilbert of Adams, by her brother: Joe Durham of Nashville, and by her 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
