Jean Hooper, age 77 of Cedar Hill, died Friday, January 10, 2020 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Carroll and Bob Adcox officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery with Caleb Reeder, Seth Traughber, Dylan Carter, Dawson Carter, Cole Dean, and Johnny Hooper serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 4 until 8 PM and Tuesday from 9 AM until the hour of service.
Mrs. Hooper was born January 13, 1942 in Robertson County to the late Herschel and Christine Biggs. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and was retired from Krogers where she worked in the meat department. She enjoyed music and art and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eldon Biggs, and a sister, Betty Sedar.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Hooper of Cedar Hill; son, Michael Biggs of Springfield; daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Sneed of Cedar Hill, Shelly Ford of Portland, and Meleah and Lee Carter of Smyrna; step sons, John Hooper of Cedar Hill and Joshua Hooper of Springfield; brothers, Russell Biggs of Springfield, Tommy Biggs of Springfield, Larry Biggs of Junction City, KS, and Danny Biggs of Greenbrier; sister and brother-in-law, Erma and Dave Winsett of Coopertown; grandchildren, Jessica (Kevin) Dean, Caleb (Emily) Reeder, Seth (Ciara) Traughber, Elizabeth (Matt) Lemons, Olivia (Miguel) Rivera, Dylan (Lauren) Carter, Dawson Carter, Sidney Hooper, and Leslie Hooper; and great grandchildren, Cole (Ashley) Dean, Belle Dean, Hailee Reeder, Carson Guider, and Ryan Rivera.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
