Jany Gale Bryant Traughber, 71, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at The Waters of Springfield. A private Celebration of Life service will be held at The Waters of Springfield, with Sister Pam Nosbusch officiating.
Jany was born February 17, 1955, to the late Morse R. and Kathleen Nash Bryant. She retired from the IRS and was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. She loved traveling to the beach, where she felt happiest. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed listening to music. Jany had a special way of making others feel loved, something clearly reflected in the care and kindness she received during her time at The Waters of Springfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Traughber; and brother, Gary M. Bryant.
She is survived by her son, Connor Beauchane; daughter, Ashley Stark; step-sons, Owen Traughber and Joseph Traughber; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey D. and Sherry Bryant; sister, Ginger Bryant Ayers; grandchildren, Charles Stark, Jordan Stark, Levi Traughber, and Maggie Traughber; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to express a sincere thank you to Adoration Hospice and to the Administration and Staff of the Waters of Springfield.
Robertson County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
