Janis Hampton Obituary

Janis H. Hampton, age 76 of Pleasant View, passed from this life on Friday, June 19, 2026 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Rebekah Rochte Votral officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with Ed Anderson, Evan Anderson, Austin Anderson, David Clardy, Nathan Stuard, Steven Anderson, Greg Stuard, and Bruce Williams serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 until 7 PM and Tuesday from 9 AM until the time of service.

Janis was born March 27, 1950 in Springfield to the late James “Jimmy” and Louise Dean Hollingsworth. She was a member of Cedar Hill United Methodist Church for over 50 years where she also played the piano and organ. She worked at NASCO for 15 years and then at Regions Bank for 25 years where she retired as branch manager. She was also an avid Vanderbilt Commodore fan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by  a son, Tim Stuard; her brother, James Dean Hollingsworth; a niece, Carrie Hollingsworth; and a sister-in-law, Lisa Hampton Haggard.

Surviving her is her husband of 10 years, Keith Hampton of Pleasant View; son, Todd Stuard and partner Kai of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Gloria Anthony and husband Jimmy of Adams, sister-in-law, Pam Hollingsworth of Sanford, NC; step-daughter, Bethany Anderson and husband Steve of Dickson; former daughter-in-law and friend, Dawn Stuard; grandson, Nathan Stuard and wife Kristin of Mt. Juliet; granddaughter, Brittney Stuard and wife Leeisa of White House; mother-in-law, Claudia Dunnagan of Dickson; great granddaughter, Audrey Charlotte Stuard; step great grandson, Caleb Anderson; nieces, Tracie Anderson and husband Ed and Amanda Hollinsworth Mills; and brothers-in-law, Dwayne Hampton and Mark Haggard.

The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to Cedar Hill United Methodist Church. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
