James "Jim" Taylor

James Lloyd “Jim” Taylor, 81, of Pleasant View, passed away on Friday June 5, 2026, at Centennial Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 8th at 12 noon in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Dr. Eric Taylor officiating. Interment will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Charity Cemetery in Hazel Green, AL. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Taylor was born June 14, 1944, in Gary, IN, to the late Floyd and Mildred Stout Taylor. He was a retired lab manager for Lens Crafters and was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Mr. Taylor enjoyed reading and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Aaron Matthew Taylor.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Brenda Lee Taylor, whom he would be married to for 63 years on the 22nd day of this month, by his son and daughter-in-law: Eric and Melissa Taylor of Cedar Hill, by his grandchildren: Seth (Carrie) Taylor, Andrew (Alexis Kehmna) Taylor, and Luke Taylor, and by his great grandchild: Conner Taylor.
