James Hargrove Shreeve, 84, of Goodlettsville, passed away on Friday March 1, 2019 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday March 5th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Pugh officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Goodlettsville with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Masonic services will be conducted Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Shreeve was born August 2, 1934 in Goodlettsville to the late Gilbert and Maureen Sisco Shreeve. He was a retired truck driver and then retired from driving a school bus for the Robertson County Board of Education. Mr. Shreeve was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a member of the Goodlettsville Masonic Lodge 271 for over 50 years. He enjoyed farming, cattle, driving his tractor, rolling hay, and especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Shreeve was preceded in death by his first wife: Sue Parsons Shreeve. He is survived by his wife: Cornelia Kirby Shreeve of Goodlettsville, his sons: Jeff and Brian Shreeve both of Goodlettsville, his daughters and sons-in-law: Catherine and Craig Sands of Lebanon, Lori and Eddie Watts of Pleasant View, by his grandchildren: Meagan Moffett and Meredith Goostree, and by his great grandchildren: Brayden and Gavin Goostree, and Avery Moffett.
