James Edward Redfern

James Edward Redfern, 55, of Springfield, passed away on Monday June 29, 2020 at North Crest Health. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday July 2nd at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother James Sawyers officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Derrick Redfern, Bryant Hassell, T.C. Collins, Kevin Collins, Spencer Henderson, Dustin Redfern, Marshall Franklin, and Bradley Gober. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

James was born July 6, 1964 in Springfield. He was a logger and truck driver and was of the Baptist faith. James enjoyed collecting guns and coins. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. James is survived by his son: Eathan Redfern of Greenbrier, his daughters and son-in-law: Shellie Redfern Freeland and husband John of Greenbrier, Jessica Redfern of Greenbrier, and Stevie Redfern of Cross Plains, by his father: Freddy Redfern and wife JoAnn of Portland, by his mother: Patsy Anderson and husband Darryl of Portland, by his step-sons: Joe and Matthew Pointer both of Springfield, by his brother: Dwayne Redfern of Cross Plains, by his sisters and brother-in-law: Rhonda and Tommy Collins of Cross Plains, Renee Redfern of Cross Plains, Rita Redfern of Cross Plains, and Robin Redfern of Springfield, by his grandchildren: Shyann and Jaycee Freeland both of Greenbrier, and by several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
