James Kopulos

James McCoy Kopulos, Sr., age 57, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at his home. Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Springfield Memorial Gardens with Brother Rob Caton officiating. Pallbearers will be Paul Darrow, Bobby Pankow, Cody Pankow, Nick Kopulos, Christopher Waller, Wayne Ayers, Wayne White, Ernest Searcy, and Richard Hardaway. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Robertson County Funeral Home.

Mr. Kopulos was born on December 30, 1968, in Chicago, IL, to the late George Kopulos, Sr. and Diane Hulsey Kopulos. He attended Robertson County Church of Christ. Mr. Kopulos was known for his love of animals, and especially his dogs. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, working on cars, cheering on the Cubs, and above all spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Kopulos is preceded in death by his father: George Kopulos, Sr., and children: James McCoy Kopulos, Jr., Jason Allen Kopulos, and Jamie Ann Kopulos. He is survived by his mother: Lois Diane Kopulos of Springfield, wife: Lisa Diane Kopulos of Springfield, daughter: Julie Grace Kopulos of Springfield, and by his grandchildren: Keaton McCoy Kopulos, Brianna Nicole Denney, Austin Dwayne Denney, Kameron James Freeman, Alaina Marie Kopulos, and Brenden Lee Kopulos.
