James L. Barnhart

James L. Barnhart, age 76 of Cedar Hill, passed from this life on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bellwood Cemetery with Jeffrey Barnhart, Tyler Barnhart, Michael Barnhart, Patrick Barnhart, Cameron Barnhart, and Anthony Ryan serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 11 AM until the hour of service.

Mr. Barnhart was born January 8, 1947 in Washington, PA to the late Lester Andrew and Pauline Barnhart. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was a painter and a farmer. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Bowen Barnhart; brothers, Tom and Ralph; and sisters, Doris and Wilma.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Jamie and Katy Barnhart, Jr. of Cedar Hill, Jeff and Christina Barnhart of Cedar Hill, and John Barnhart of Springfield; daughter, Georgia Baker of Clarksville; 14 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
