Helen Irene Clayborn

Helen Irene Clayborn, 85, of Springfield, died Saturday July 9, 2016 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday July 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the Milldale Chapel. Interment will follow in Orlinda Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Clayborn was born July 9, 1931 in Simpson County, KY to the late Arlo Bransford and Cora Gladys Neal Spivey. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Clayborn enjoyed sewing, fishing, quilting, and flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles William Clayborn, Sr., and by her children: David Summers and Venita Hoskins.

Mrs. Clayborn is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Raymond and Carol Summers of Central City, KY, Willard Summers of Bowling Green, KY, Chuck and Vicki Clayborn, Jr., of Springfield, daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Mike Vorick of Hoopeston, IL, Brenda and Doug Gum of Brownsburg, IN, Janet and Larry Norris of Springfield, and Nancy and Dusty Johnson of Orlinda, brother: Billy Joe Spivey of Franklin, KY, sisters: Mable Redferrin, Diane Wix, both of Cross Plains, Linda Seabolt of Milldale, Wanda Tate of Cross Plains, and Betty Jo Hodges of Portland, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren
