It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Grace Henrietta Stiers, who departed this life on August 21, 2025, at the age of 87.
Born on December 26th, 1937, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she lived a life filled with faith, creativity, and adventure. A devoted member of her church, she shared her love of music by serving as Handbell Choir Director in several congregations in both Florida and Tennessee.
She had a passion for traveling across the country, having visited every state but Hawaii. She found joy in camping and experiencing the beauty of nature. Her artistic spirit was evident in every part of her life—she was gifted in nearly every craft, creating works that brought joy and inspiration to those around her.
Her warmth, generosity, and creativity touched the lives of her family, friends, and community. She will be remembered not only for her talents and dedication but also for the kindness and faith she lived out every day.
She is survived by her son Christopher Stiers (Nathalie), her daughter, Mimi Pfrogner (Colin) son-in-law, William Zito, her grandchildren Nicholas Stiers, Krista Stiers, Taylor (TK) Calibo, Claire Zito, Jaxon Pfrogner and Oliver Pfrogner. She also leaves behind her many beloved nephews and nieces, all of whom held a special place in her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents Elbert and Orpah Cormack, her husband Earl Stiers, her daughter Carol Zito, her sister Mildred Ratliff (Harry) and her brother Robert Cormack.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday September 6, 2025, at the Greenbrier United Methodist Church in Greenbrier, TN. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM till the time of service at 11 AM.
Her life was a beautiful reflection of her love for God, her family, her friends, and the world around her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
