Glenda (Pearson) Williams

Glenda Pearson Williams, 79, of Springfield, passed from this life on Sunday June 11, 2023, at NHC Healthcare Center in Springfield. Funeral services will be conducted Monday June 19th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Robinson officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Chapel Cemetery with Larry Williams, Corey Williams, Kenneth Williams, Phil Murphy, Kenny Pearson and Joe Pearson serving as pallbearers. J.L. Pearson will serve as Honorary Pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Monday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williams was born May 29, 1944, in Cross Plains, to the late Herman and Clara Bell Aldridge Pearson. She was a homemaker and farmer’s wife that loved quilting, cooking, going fishing and camping, growing flowers and vegetables, and raising her chickens. Mrs. Williams was a member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church, where she enjoyed working with the youth and the WMU. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Joe B. Williams, Sr., and by her siblings: Jackie Pearson, Lee Pearson, JoDean Pearson Honeycutt, and Susie Pearson Williams.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Jim and Holly Sanders of Smyrna, Joe B. and Lauren Williams, Jr., of Adairville, KY, and by her grandchildren: Alex (Amanda) Sanders, Ben (Reagan) Sanders, Matt Sanders, and Jackson Williams.
