George Persinger

George Edward Persinger, 86, of Springfield, passed away on Monday November 8, 2021, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted Friday November 12th at 12 noon in the Elmwood Cemetery with Tim Harris officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Mr. Persinger was born February 22, 1935, in Streator, IL to the late Allie and Elizabeth “Lucy” Michael Persinger. He was a retired welder with Boilermakers. Mr. Persinger enjoyed doing metal craft, driving and working on his tractors, mowing his yard, and being around people. He was always one that got along with everybody and would do anything he could for anyone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Alice June Griffin Persinger, by his daughter: Laquita Persinger Leitchford, and by his brothers: James, Richard, and Leroy Persinger. Mr. Persinger is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Michael and Bobbie Persinger of Ashland City, William and Zarina Persinger of Murfreesboro, and by his 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
