George Earl Clark

George Earl Clark, 94, of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday July 3, 2026, at NHC Healthcare in Springfield. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday July 8th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakland Cemetery with Tony Cobb officiating. Johnathon Hagey, Patrick Dougan, and other family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Mr. Clark was born December 25, 1931, in Robertson County, to the late George M. and Jessie Ellis Clark. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a retired machinist, was a member of the New Chapel Men’s Club, and was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. Mr. Clark enjoyed hunting, delivering cars for local dealerships, and was proud of being an small craft airplane pilot.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Jeanette Birdwell Clark, and by his siblings: Harold Clark and Nancy Cobb Casteel. Mr. Clark is survived by his special niece: Betsy Axley of Springfield, by his special nephew: Johnathon Hagey of Springfield, and by several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
