Evelyn Minnis Harper, age 96, of Springfield, found eternal peace on Sunday April 5, 2026, at Morningside of Springfield.
Ms. Evelyn was born January 19, 1930, in Springfield, to the late John and Nolie Graves Minnis. She was a lifelong member of Barren Plains Baptist Church and community, and she devoted her life to family and home where her greatest joy was spending time with family.

Ms. Evelyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and the memory of her generosity and unconditional love will forever live in the hearts of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Billy Harper, and by her siblings: Oley, Coleman, Vernon, and Kelly Minnis, Addie Mae Murphy, Elsie England, and Earlene Holman. Ms. Evelyn is survived by her daughters: Virginia (Fran) Schaller and Judy (Kurt) Harper, by her grandchildren: Christine Schaller and Rebecca Schaller, and by her great grandson: Jordan Lavender.
A private family graveside service will be conducted in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Chaplin Lynda Boyd officiating.
