Eric D. Redfern, age 35 of Cross Plains, died Sunday, March 8, 2020 at Skyline Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Rev. Juan Rodriguez officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Plains Cemetery with Cody Pulley, Thomas Collins, Travis Dalton, Daniel Pulley, Spencer Henderson, Brad Crocker, Larry Crocker, and Derrick Redfern serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Marshall Franklin, Bradley Gober, Bryant “Opie” Ellis, Ikie Fisher, Josh Baker, and Domonic Baker. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 10 AM until the hour of service.
Mr. Redfern was born July 18, 1984 in Robertson County. He was a heavy machinery operator. He loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed fishing and basketball.
He is survived by his mother, Renee Redfern of Cross Plains; father, Chris Hassell of Springfield; sons, Kadyn Redfern, Jace Redfern, Easton Redfern, and Kingston Redfern, all of Cross Plains; daughter, Ella Redfern of Cross Plains; brother, Bryant (Mary Beth) Hassell of Springfield; sister, Christa Hassell of Springfield; grandparents, Marshall and Joanne Redfern of Portland and Darrell and Patsy Anderson of Cottontown; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family request memorial contributions to be made to help cover Eric’s funeral expenses. All donations should be made to Renee Redfern and sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
