Eric Morris

Stanley Eric Morris, 54, of the Barren Plains community in Springfield, passed away on Monday January 18, 2021 at NorthCrest Health. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday January 23rd at 1:00 p.m. in the Morris Family Cemetery at 5810 Waymon Dunn Rd. in Springfield with Brother Doug Spain officiating. Pallbearers will be Matthew Morris, Justin Morris, Henry Morris, Ethan Collins, Blake Johnson, Ricky Morris, Troy Morris, and Doug Spain. There will be no public visitation prior to the graveside service.

Eric was born June 10, 1966 in Nashville. He owned and operated ECM Trucking and he also farmed. He was of the Pentecostal faith. Eric loved collecting and restoring Antique Tractor’s. When farming, he loved doing everything with the antique equipment that he had restored. Eric loved his family and spending time with them. He was preceded in death by his father: Homer Ralph Morris.

Eric is survived by his wife: Cecelia Wooden Morris of Barren Plains, by his daughter: Andrea Lynn Morris of Barren Plains, by his sons: Eric Matthew (Amber Parker) Morris of Barren Plains, Phillip Justin Morris of Clarksville, and Henry Clayton Morris of Barren Plains, by his mother: Margaret Gardner Morris of Portland, by his brothers: Ricky Morris of Portland and Troy Morris of California, and by his grandchildren: Ethan Collins, Candace Johnson, Blake Johnson, Nolan Morris, Persephone Morris, and Vincent Parker.
