Emily Sue Hallman, 75, of Adairville, KY, passed from this life on Friday March 11, 2022, at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday March 16th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Brent Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville, KY, with special memories being shared by her niece: Melissa Pettus and by her nephew: Joe Slate. Pallbearers will be Joedy Hallman, Joseph Hallman, Eric Taylor, Bryan Jones, Jeremy Slate, and Kevin Jones. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Sue was born February 19, 1947, in Springfield to the late Albert Lee and Dorothy Virginia Ogg Jones. She was a graduate of Springfield High School Class of 1965. Sue was a retired hairdresser of 26 years with Helen’s Beauty Shop in Springfield. She was a member of Millertown Church of Christ in Dot, KY. Sue loved being in her yard mowing the grass and working in her flowers. She loved making flower arrangements. Sue was a wonderful cook and she loved entertaining her family and friends. She had a great love for her church family and for her own family, especially her two grandchildren that she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Joseph Glenn “Joe” Hallman, by her brother and sister-in-law: Bobby Lee and Donna Jones, and by her sister and brother-in-law: Joyce and Jim Slate. Sue is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Joedy and Dee Dee Hallman of Adairville, KY, by her daughter and son-in-law: Suzanne and Eric Taylor of Springfield, by her grandchildren: Joseph Hallman and Emily Taylor, by her brother and sister-in-law: Wayne and Brenda Jones of Springfield.
Sue’s family would like to extend their love and appreciation to her caregivers that have taken wonderful care of her. Sue always called them “her ladies”.
