Emily Lamore Payne

Emily Larmore Payne, age 84, of Springfield, passed from this life on Saturday January 15, 2022, at NorthCrest Medical Center. There will be no public services at this time.

Emily was born December 6, 1937, in Atlanta, GA to the late Edmond Henry and Willie Frank Barrow Larmore. Besides being a great homemaker, wife, and mother, Emily loved sewing, gardening, and reading. She loved to be involved in her community being a previous President of the Alcohol and Drug Council of Tennessee and participating in Al-Anon through Cumberland Heights for thirty years. She was also involved in the Home Demonstration Club of Sumner County for years. Emily and her husband, Reese, dedicated their time, hearts, and experience to bring hope and strength to others. She was a beautiful and extremely strong woman who will be missed by many. In addition to her parents, Emily is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Reese Jones Payne.

Emily is survived by her children: Lyle and Mary Frank Payne, and Lisa Payne Jones, MD, and by her grandchildren: Allyson Payne Manfredi and her husband Charles, Rachel Payne Dorris and her husband Logan, Reese Payne, and Harrison Long.

The family requests, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to Cumberland Heights Treatment Center. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
