Dorothy Shoulders Obituary
Dorothy Launa Shoulders, 91, of Adairville, KY, passed away on Sunday November 11, 2018 at Creekwood Nursing Center in Russellville. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday November 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the Greenwood Cemetery with Bro. Johnnie Baldwin, Jr., officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Dean Funeral Chapel in Adairville, KY.
Mrs. Shoulders was born June 3, 1927 in Logan County to the late Will and Nannie Stubblefield Scott. She was a homemaker and a member of Living Word Church. Mrs. Shoulders loved listening to the radio, playing cards, and her favorite pastime was sitting on her porch enjoying her cat. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Garland Shoulders, and by her siblings: Hester Rodgers, Lillian Simmons, Leonard Scott, Katherine Drake, and Cora Johnson.
Mrs. Shoulders is survived by her caretakers that she always considered her daughters: Vera Richmond and Louevennie Abney both of Adairville, KY, her nieces: Paula Johnson and Gail Johnson both of Port Orange, FL, and Terry Corey of Grand Island, NY, and by the one that out ranked everyone else, her cat: "Baby Girl".
