Dorothy Rader Obituary

Dorothy Frances Nixon Rader, 95, of Springfield, passed from this life on Thursday July 16, 2020 at Springfield Heights Assisted Living. Memorial services will be conducted Saturday July 25th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Adam Hodges officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rader was born December 15, 1924 in Springfield to the late William Robert and Eula Bloodworth Nixon. She was a retired Office Administrator with Eastland Heights Baptist Church. Mrs. Rader, and her family, were charter members of Eastland Heights Baptist Church, where she was active in the WMU and taught Sunday School for many years. She loved working on her family history and genealogy and watching any type of westerns on TV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Howard Earl Rader, and by her siblings and their spouses: Charles and Ann Bruce Nixon, Joe Nixon, and Jean Nixon Armstrong and James Armstrong. Mrs. Rader is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Dan and Fayrene Rader of Springfield, by her grandson: Beau Nixon Rader, and by her sister-in-law: Mary Nixon of Springfield.
