Doris A. (Iles) Wilkerson

Doris A. Wilkerson, age 88 of Old Hickory, passed from this life on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at McKendree Village in Hermitage. Private Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 24, 2022 at 12:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Tabor officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11 AM until the hour of service.

Mrs. Wilkerson was born May 9, 1933 in Sale Creek, TN to the late Porter and Narcissa Lewis Iles. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and was a homemaker. She had many talents, including being a seamstress, an artist, and gardening. She was a mother figure to many. She loved her family and to her everyone was family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank H. Wilkerson, Sr.; brothers, Creed, Foster, and Norman, Iles; and sister; Victoria Haney.

She is survived by her son, Frank Wilkerson, Jr. of Old Hickory; daughters, Paula Wilkerson (Karen Parks) of Carterville, IL and Lisa (Gary) Pritsch of Hot Springs, AR; brothers, Murphy Iles and Newton Iles, both of Pleasant Hill, TN; sister, Upha Ross of Sparta, TN; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.
