Domer Dixon

Domer Gene Dixon, 72, of Springfield, died Sunday July 30, 2017 at North Crest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday August 3rd at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with James Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Corey Mayo, Scott Owen, Jade Dixon, Cory Collins, Daniel Thacker, Bobby Haun, Caleb Riddle, and Elroy Byers serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mr. Dixon was born December 4, 1944 in Livingston, TN to the late Vestil and Edith Walker Dixon. He was a retired framer from Peterbilt and a member of West End Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Dixon enjoyed raising his vegetable garden, wood working, and being outdoors enjoying watching the hummingbirds. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother: Doyce Dixon and his sister: Nellie Johnson.

Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife of over 54 years: Barbara Heady Dixon of Springfield, son and daughter-in-law: Randall and Teri Dixon of Springfield, daughters and son-in-law: Kathy and Chris Dugan of Springfield, Lisa Patterson of Greenbrier, brother and sister-in-law: Kenneth and Carolyn Dixon of Livingston, eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
