Diane “Ma” (Spivey) Wix

Clara Diane Spivey “Ma” Wix, age 77 of Cross Plains, died Friday, March 19, 2021 at Skyline Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Bro. John Rushing and Bro. Bob Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Plains Cemetery with Ryan Jernigan, Justin Jernigan, Bo Wix, Lee True, Adam True, Dillon Wix, Marshall Wix, Matt Wix, Ray Wix, and Weston Adams serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 4 until 8 PM and Wednesday from 12 noon until the hour of service.

Mrs. Wix was born March 30, 1943 in Simpson County, KY to the late Arlo and Gladys Neal Spivey. She was a member of Greenwood Freewill Baptist Church and worked for many years with her daughter-in-law at True’s Barbeque. She loved to cook and kept a clean house. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In her spare time she loved to work outside gardening and also loved to fish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings.

‘Ma” is survived by her husband, Bobby  Ray Wix of Cross Plains; sons, Tim Wix, Jeff Wix and wife Juanita, and Bobby Wix, all of Cross Plains; daughter, Teresa Jernigan and Husband Jeff of Springfield; brother, Billy Spivey and wife Connie of Franklin, KY; sisters, Betty Hodges and husband Danny of Portland, Wanda Tate and husband Max of Orlinda, Linda Seabolt, and Mabel Redferrin of Cross Plains’ 13 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.

The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association or the National Brest Cancer Foundation. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
