Denny Lowe Obituary

Samuel Dennis “Denny” Lowe, age 69 of Adams, TN died Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. His remains are at the Robertson County Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held Friday December 4, 2020 at Bellwood Cemetery in Adams with Sam Lowe, Josh Lowe, Thad Dorris, Danny Pyle, Michael Pyle, Logan Carter and Brett Lowe serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Will Yates, Dougie Caroland Jr, Mike Farmer, Joe Jones, Jimmy Hamill, Dick Joyce, Chris Stagner, Robert Washington and the Men of Adams Church of Christ. Denny was born April 10, 1951 in Warren Co., KY to the late Joseph Wyatt and Christine Parker Lowe. A brother, Michael Lynn Lowe also preceded him in death. Denny was a member of Adams Church of Christ where he served as an elder. Serving others was who Denny was, he was a firefighter, serving first with the Cedar Hill Fire Department then the Robertson County Fire Department then the Springfield Fire Department and then the Adams Fire Department for a grand total of 52 years. At various times in “retirement” he worked for Adams Water Dept, Adams Gas Department and at Ace Hardware. Denny served the public well but serving his family was his best service. He loved being a grandfather and was the rock of the family through good times and bad times.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy Ruth Carter Lowe of Adams; Sons, Samuel Carter Lowe and fiancé Aubrey Moore of Adams and Joshua Aaron Lowe and wife Katie Fletcher Lowe of Cedar Hill; brothers, Joseph (Suzie) Lowe of Normandy, TN, Wayne (Connie) Lowe of Cedar Hill and Mark Lowe of Springfield; sister, Beverly (Jackie) Pyle of Springfield; granddaughters, Lucy Kate Lowe and Josie Claire Lowe and numerous nephews and nieces.

If so desired, the family suggests that memorial donations may be made in Denny’s memory to either the Adams Church of Christ or the Adams Fire Department. All donations may be sent care of the Robertson County Funeral Home
