Dennis Keith Dorris, 54, of Greenbrier, passed away on Friday June 2, 2023, at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday June 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Brother Ivan Bell officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenbrier Cemetery with Ethan Roberts, Tyler Roberts, Joe Killingsworth, Jeff Killingsworth, Tommy Stratton, Billy Hampton, Drake Downs, and Danny Sears serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley E. Dorris, Sr., and Wesley E. Dorris, Jr. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Dennis was born April 24, 1969, in Chicago, IL. He was a graduate of Greenbrier High School Class of 1987. Dennis was a sales manager or Komatsu Power Equipment and was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed cooking, being a grill master, his guns, fishing, and talking with his family and friends.
Dennis is survived by his parents: Wesley and Lillian Stansell Dorris, Sr., of Greenbrier, by his children: David “Davy D” Dorris of Greenbrier, Madyson Knight of Greenbrier, Ethan Roberts of Clarksville, Tyler Roberts of Burns, Jordan Bell of Cookeville, and Laura Roberts of Gallatin, by his brother: Wesley E. Dorris, Jr., and wife Janis of Springfield, by his sister: Sherri Dorris Grant and husband Buddy of Cedar Hill, by his fiancé: Kimberly Knight of Greenbrier, by the mother of his son David: Tonia Dorris of Springfield, by his niece: Tiffany Breaux of Mississippi, by his nephew: Patrick Jones of Portland, and by six grandchildren with #7 to arrive in November of this year.
