David was born January 11, 1959, in Nashville. He was a graduate of Gallatin High School Class of 1977 and was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. David loved listening to rock music, NASCAR, the Tennessee Titans, and being outside grilling. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. David had lived in both Albuquerque, New Mexico and Shallowater, TX, where he had family and many friends that he loved keeping in touch with. You could always find him talking on the phone with his family, his friends, and his fellow Marine buddies so that he could be kept in the loop of what was going on in all the people’s lives that he cared so much about.

He is survived by his wife: Connie Cothron Ruck of Greenbrier, by his son and daughter-in-law: Kody and Trina Ruck of Hendersonville, by his daughter: Kensey Ruck of Greenbrier, by his grandchildren: Ariyana Farmer and Daniel Ruck, by his father: George Ruck of California, by his brother and sister-in-law: Tony and Cindy Ruck of Kennedale, TX, and by his half siblings: Bryan Ruck, Jeananne Ruck, and Cheryl Ruck all of California.
