Howard David Pulley, Jr., 73, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday July 4, 2021, at Skyline Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday July 9th at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Adam Hodges officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Bubba Kiningham, Dan Rader, Fred Head, Wayne Richard, Jasper Blackburn, and Larry Butram. Benjamin Dillehay will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Pulley was born March 24, 1948, in Springfield to the late Howard David and Nell Fletcher Pulley, Sr. He was a graduate of Madison High School, was a retired machinist with John Bouchard & Sons, in Nashville, was a member of Barren Plains Baptist Church, and a member of the Machinist Workers Union. Mr. Pulley enjoyed playing golf, watching car racing, and especially enjoyed being at home and working in his yard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son: Steven Wayne Andress, and by his brother: John William Pulley.
Mr. Pulley is survived by his wife of 43 years, Debbie Bilbrey Pulley of Springfield, by his daughter: Shannon Rhea Dillehay and husband Scott of Ridgetop, by his son: Todd Michael Pulley of Greenbrier, by his grandchildren: Camryn and Benjamin Dillehay, Kyle and Davis Pulley, by his brother: Don Pulley of Springfield, and by his sisters: Donna Smith, Cindy Joyce and husband Harold all of Springfield.
