Dave Garmon Obituary

Dave Allen Garmon, 59, of Greenbrier, passed away on Thursday April 30, 2020 at his home. A private family graveside service will be conducted Monday May 4th in the Springfield Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Justin Garmon, Dustin Thomas, Billy Garmon, Connor Graves, Buzz Graves, and Dane Little.

Dave was born September 5, 1960 in Greensburg, IN. He was a graduate of Edmondson County High School Class of 1978, where he played football for the Edmondson County Wildcats. Dave was a technician with Specialty Water Technology (SWT) in Portland and was of the Baptist faith. He loved all types of sports, especially car racing, and was an avid Dale Earnhardt, Sr. fan. He loved the Kentucky Wildcats and the Tennessee Titans. Dave loved anything outdoors, and he always said he wanted to live in a one room cabin in the woods close to nature. He was preceded in death by his father: Harold E. Garmon and by his mother: Doris Jean Stilts Thomas.

Dave is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Justin and Season Garmon of Burns, TN, by his love of 16 years: Diane Thomas of Greenbrier, by Diane’s children: Tammy Graves and husband Buzz, Nikki Little and husband Dane, and Dustin Thomas, by his brother and sister-in-law: Billy and Laura Garmon of White House, by his sisters: Becky Garmon and Lisa Lyon both of Kentucky, by his grandchildren: Jon Allen Garmon, Thatcher Garmon, Nikki Thomas, Hailey Graves, Connor Graves, Brayden Tabb, Kage Ellis, Madison Little, and Peyton Little, and by his great grandchildren: Maysen Lyons and Ella Thomas.
