Danny Mark Bernard, age 71 of Orlinda, went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2020 at at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville. A celebration of life graveside service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 12 noon in the Orlinda Cemetery with Pastor Lance Wamble officiating. Pallbearers will be Joel Bernard, Ashley Bernard, Miles Bernard, Ike Bernard, Mason Bernard, and Milan Bernard. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Danny was born October 23, 1949 in Franklin, KY to the late Dorris and Peggy Culbreath Bernard. He was a lifelong member of Orlinda Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a farmer and dairy farming was his passion. He took great pride in improving his herd and he had one of the top dairy herds in the state of Tennessee. He was also a longtime board member of Select Sires Inc.
He is survived by his wife of 51 ½ years, Linda Groves Bernard of Orlinda; sons and daughters-in-law, Joel and Samantha Bernard and Ashley and Amy Bernard, both of Orlinda; brothers and sisters-in-law, Lanny and Amelia Bernard and Tony and Gwen Bernard, both of Orlinda; sister and brother-in-law, Cissy and Al Midgett of Lebanon; and grandchildren, Miles, Ike, Mason, Ida, and Milan Bernard, all of Orlinda.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to Orlinda Baptist Church. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
