Chief Dodderer Obituary

James Edward “CHIEF” Dodderer, 75, of Greenbrier, passed away on Saturday February 27, 2021 at NorthCrest Health. His remains were buried in Springfield Memorial Gardens on Tuesday March 2nd. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Tuesday March 9th at 2:00 p.m. at South Haven Baptist Church with Dr. Frank Gagliano officiating. There will be no visitation prior to the memorial service.

Chief was born February 2, 1946 in Oklahoma City, OK to the late James Fredrick and Rose Marie Novak Dodderer. He retired as a welder, and then went on to work in building maintenance at Heritage High School. Chief was a member of South Haven Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling, participating in Senior Olympics, and going to movies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Peggy Dodderer. Chief is survived by his brother: Raymond Dodderer of Oklahoma, and by Jo Ann Linnemeier, of Springfield, who Chief always introduced to others as “My Friend”.
