Charles Wayne Stark, 86, of Springfield, passed away on Sunday February 23, 2020 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday February 26th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend David Royalty officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Michael Stark, Adam Burchett, Justin Tucker, and other family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Stark was born December 8, 1933 in Cross Plains. He was a retired machinist and worked in Industrial Maintenance for many years. Mr. Stark was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Orlinda. He loved fishing, gardening, doing automotive repair, and watching westerns on TV. He was preceded in death by his father: Izor Merritt Stark, by his mother: Louise Rigsby Hensley, and by his brother: Ralph “Buddy” Stark.
Mr. Stark is survived by his wife of 64 years: Christine Vivrette Stark of Springfield, by his son: Charles R. “Charlie” Stark of Springfield, by his sister and brother-in-law: Peggy and Jimmy Holmes of Nashville, by his grandchildren: Michele (Justin) Tucker, Charles Michael Stark, Marcie (Adam) Burchett, and by 8 great grandchildren.
