Carolyn Jean (Anderson) Evans

Carolyn Jean Anderson Evans, 73, of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Thursday May 9, 2024, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Goodlettsville. Funeral services will be conducted Monday May 13th at 2:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery with Matthew Ellithorpe, Zach Reifer, Darrell Pridy, Laren Lusky, Ryan Ellithorpe, Wayne Ridge, Richard Eschbach, and Dan Keenan serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers with be the members of her Red Hat Society. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Carolyn was born July 21, 1950, in Springfield, to the late Roy Anderson and the late Irma Jean Henderson Anderson. She was a retired dispatcher with Peidmont Gas, was a member of Madison Heights Baptist Church, and was a former Queen Mom and member of the Red Hat Society. Carolyn enjoyed sewing, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren that she loved so much. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister: Dotsy Haley, and by her stepmother: Barbara Anderson.

Carolyn is survived by her daughter: Crystal (Randy) Ellithorpe of Ridgetop, by her son: Chad Vinson Hughes of Greenbrier, by her stepchildren: Joseph Evans and Elizabeth Evans both of Donelson, by her brother: Roy (Suzanne) Anderson of California, by her sisters: Gail (Jim) Jager of Springfield, Shirley (Joe) Whitley of Cross Plains, Martha Owen of Nashville, and Mary (Jerry) Choate of Greenbrier, by her grandchildren: Matthew (Jennifer) Ellithorpe, Ryan (Abby) Ellithorpe, Kayla (Dustin) Hughes, Chadsade (Zach) Reifer, and Esmae Hughes, by her great grandchildren: Samantha, Daniel, Mary Rhyan, Evren, Kyler, Eden, Harrison, and Theodore, and by her step grandchild: Faith Ollis.
