Bobby Ray Douglas, age 70 of Springfield, passed from this life on Friday, September 12, 2025 at Tristar NorthCrest Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Tim Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Mike Blackburn, Mike Cobb, Jeff Shelton, Johnny Clark, Russell Dalrymple, Tim Black, Bob Arms, and Randy Biggs serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer will be Will Clark. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of service.
Bobby was born June 13, 1955 in Springfield to the late Robert L. Green and the late Archie Mae Qualls Porter. He was retired from the City of Springfield. He was a fun-loving person and loved to laugh and socialize. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and he will be missed by his friends at Torino’s and other places.
Surviving him are his brother, Tommy Douglas of Springfield; nephew, Dalton Pendleton of Springfield; and a cousin, Alice Faye Burney of Springfield.
The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to either the Robertson County Animal Shelter or St. Jude Children’s Hospital. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
