Bill Cowan Obituary

Pastor William Allen "Bill" Cowan, 87, of Adairville, KY, died Monday February 13, 2017 at his home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday February 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Living Word Church in Adairville with Reverend Ken Cowan and Pastor Herb Mays officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Adairville with Bryan Cowan, Jason Cowan, Barry Wright, Adam Wright, Russell Law, and Jeff Gannon serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until service time. All visitation will be at Living Word Church.

Bro. Bill was born March 23, 1929 in Logan County, KY to the late Donald and Cora Allen Cowan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Bro. Bill pastored Living Word Church in Adairville, KY for forty-eight years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Margaret Cowan Bomar.

Bro. Bill is survived by his wife of 68 years: Effie Hardin Cowan of Adairville, KY, son and daughter-in-law: Ken and Connie Cowan of Bowling Green, KY, brothers: Harold Cowan of Adairville, KY, Glenn Cowan of Goodlettsville, and Charles Cowan of Old Hickory, sister: Sue Holland of Springfield, grandchildren: Derek Cowan, Shawn Perry, Heather Claborne, five great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Agape Service Foundation or to Fully Persuaded Ministries
