Betty Castleman (Eli) Traughber

Betty Jean Castleman Traughber, 82, of Greenbrier, passed from this life on Monday August 2, 2021, at the home of her daughter. Graveside services will be conducted Friday August 6th at 2:00 p.m. in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Tim Harris officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael “Bubba” Dorris, Mark Hendricks, Mark Halley, Ralph Dean, Billy Traughber, Billy Ray White. The family will receive friends on Friday from 12 noon until 1:30 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home.

Mrs. Traughber was born March 16, 1939, in Nashville, to the late Stanley and Katherine Agee Eli. She was a graduate of East High School in Nashville. Mrs. Traughber was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she served as church organist for over 18 years. She loved quilting and playing both piano and organ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: James Albert “Jim” Castleman and Joe T. Traughber.

Mrs. Castleman is survived by her daughter: Kim Castleman Halley and her husband Mark of Greenbrier.
