Betty Lou Stark Simpson, 82, of Hendersonville, passed away on Sunday June 8, 2025, at Clarendale Assisted Living in Hendersonville. Graveside services will be conducted Friday June 13th at 1:00 p.m. in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Orlinda with Dr. David Dean officiating. Pallbearers will be Matt Stark, Steve Stark, Wade Stark, Flynt Stark, Ryden Stark, and Scott Wayman. There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.
Mrs. Simpson was born October 7, 1942, in Robertson County, to the late Elmore and Ina Bell Goosetree Stark. She was a graduate of East Robertson High School Class of 1960 and went on to receive her Associate’s degree from Draughon’s Business College. Mrs. Simpson lived many years in Virgina, was a retired secretary from McIntosh Insurance Adjustment Service, and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, making walking sticks, collecting Beanie Babies, and watching the deer in her yard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Vernon Glenn Simpson, and by her sister: Brenda Stark Baldridge.
Mrs. Simpson is survived by her brothers: Bryant (Gail) Stark, Ronnie (Dawn) Stark, and Ricky (Amy) Stark all of Orlinda, by her sister: Wanda Stark Wayman of Hendersonville, by her sister-in-law: Janet Sanderson of Hopkinsville, KY, and by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
