Betty Jean Evans Corbin, 80, of Cedar Hill, passed from this life on Saturday March 13, 2021 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday March 16th at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Clark and Tim Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Gary Sloan, Bob Stroud, Gerald Wakefield, Michael Corbin, Christopher Corbin, and Nicholas Corbin serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Corbin was born September 5, 1940 in the Barren Plains community to the late George and Leanna Murphy Evans. She was a retired account manager at Shelter Insurance, in Springfield, and was a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Corbin loved cooking, gardening, shopping, traveling, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Porter Wade Corbin, Jr, by her daughter: Cindy Corbin Cothern, by her sisters that lived locally: Ruth Estep and Earline Hall, and by several other brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Corbin is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Tim and Lisa Corbin of Cedar Hill, Allan and Wanda Corbin of White House, by her daughter: Connie Corbin of Cedar Hill, by her sister: Ann Anderson of Hendersonville, and by the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Michael Corbin, Callie Cothern (Aaron) Patton, Christopher Corbin, Meg Cothern, Kayla Corbin, and Nicholas Corbin.
