Bessie Gober Obituary

Bessie Margaret Gober, 81, of Springfield, died Tuesday February 20, 2018 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Cummings officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Goodlettsville. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Gober was born July 5, 1936 in Davidson County to the late John Odell and Laura Hearn Robinson. She was a retired customer service representative with O'Reilly Auto Parts and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. Gober loved gardening, cooking, and was a very devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. If you visited her home, you had something to eat at her table as she loved everybody.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson: Michael Wayne Greer, and by her siblings: Bill, Alta, Mary, Joyce, Elvis, and Laura. Mrs. Gober is survived by her husband: Kenneth Gober of Springfield, daughters and sons-in-law: Laura and Brian Reed of Lebanon, Debra and Jerry Worrell of White House, sisters and brother-in-law: Grace and Bob Martin of Nashville, Betty Warren of Donelson, grandchildren: Brandy West and Kyle Stewart, eight great grandchildren.
