Bertha Mae (Morris) Draper

Bertha Mae Draper, age 83 of Springfield, died Thursday, July 11, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Oakhurst Chapel of Robertson County Funeral Home with Ivan Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Plains Cemetery with Jared Bell, Brent Bell, Josh Pulley,, Zane Raborn, Buzzy Poole, and Chad Jarnigan serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4 until 8 PM and Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service.

Mrs. Draper was born June 7, 1936 in Robertson County to the late Robert Earl and Cassie Keach Morris. She was a member of Lights Chapel Baptist Church and worked for many years at McClanahan Lumber Company. She loved golfing and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Draper, Jr., and sisters, Margaret Fletcher, Betty Moore, and Edna Savage.

She is survived by her son, Jeff Offutt and wife, Allison of Hendersonville; daughter, Amy Bell and husband, Ivan of Springfield; step son, Daryl Draper and wife, Debbie of Smyrna; step daughter, Kelly Draper of Mt. Juliet; sister, Nancy Scoggin of Columbia; grandchildren, Stephanie Offutt (Shane Harrington), RaVen Offutt, Jared (Jennifer) Bell, Brent Bell, and Kristin (Josh) Pulley; step grandchildren, Michael (Taylor) Draper, Lindsay Draper, Seth Raborn, and Zane (Autumn) Raborn; 11 great grandchildren; 2 step great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family request, if so desired, for memorial contributions to be made to Caris Hospice. All donations can be sent c/o Robertson County Funeral Home.
